I’m a software engineer focused on enterprise .NET applications: understanding how they work, keeping them reliable, and making them easier to change.

I enjoy the investigative side of the work. When documentation is incomplete, I use the code and the system’s behavior to build an understanding of what’s happening and why.

Development, with a support perspective

I joined RevSpring in 2018 as a .NET developer. After moving into product support, I returned to development in 2022. That experience gave me a practical view of how enterprise software behaves in production and what it takes to keep it working.

My work has included workflow orchestration and document-processing applications, spanning C# services, Angular interfaces, SQL Server, and integrations with older systems.

Understanding a system, then owning the work

During two years embedded with an external development team, I became an internal subject-matter expert on a complex enterprise application. My responsibilities have included feature development, single sign-on fixes, production troubleshooting, and hotfix delivery.

I’m most interested in hands-on work: tracing a problem across layers, making a focused change, and following it through to a working result.

Tools I work with

C# and .NET, ASP.NET, Angular and TypeScript, and SQL Server form the core of my application work. I also work with Git, Azure DevOps, Windows, and Linux.

Background

I earned a B.S. in Information Technology from the University of Central Florida in 2017. Earlier experience included more than a year as a NASA intern working with HR information systems and workforce planning.

Here, I write about software, Linux, and developer tools, with an emphasis on the details that make a solution reproducible.
